meet dr. alicia Journey.
“In a world that seek safety through fitting in, it because necessary to courageously stand out if one seeks true liberation. The key to your cage belongs to you. Find it and you will find yourself.” - A. Journey
From the courtroom to the stage. From Capitol Hill to the cosmic plane. From surviving to setting the world on fire.
Dr. Alicia Journey, JD PhD, is a former Supreme Court attorney, state and federal prosecutor, and Capitol Hill insider turned multidimensional media creator, spiritual visionary, and embodiment expert. Her life’s mission? To radically empower others to reclaim their sovereignty—body, mind, voice, and soul.
Alicia’s journey began in service—first to survivors of abuse through law and nonprofit work, and then through public policy as a legislative analyst in Washington, D.C., where she helped draft major reforms. She graduated with a degree in neuropsychology, earned her law degree while eight months pregnant, and later launched her own holistic law firm and nonprofit, Beyond the Bruises, to advocate for those silenced by trauma.
But after a series of life-shattering events—including a coma, cancer, paralysis, and profound spiritual awakening—Alicia emerged with a new assignment: to dismantle the systems that wounded her by embodying the freedom they could never give her.
Today, she leads The Purposeful Rebel™, a transformational brand and media empire devoted to truth, pleasure, and sacred disruption. She is the creator and host of the upcoming talk show Scarlet Sheets, the founder of The Body Talks Method™ for trauma healing and embodiment, and the visionary behind The I AM Institute for spiritual leadership and metaphysical education.
Her work sits at the intersection of sexual liberation, trauma recovery, and full-spectrum expression. Drawing from her own experience with religious abuse, generational trauma, and the weaponization of female power, Alicia helps others alchemize shame into sacred power—guiding people home to the wild truth of who they really are.
She is not here to fit into the system.
She is here to build a new one.

Before becoming a spiritual visionary and media disruptor, Dr. Alicia Journey served at the highest levels of law, policy, and public service. She began her career on Capitol Hill as a legislative analyst, helping draft transformative policy, and went on to become a state and federal prosecutor, eventually working on matters before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Alicia earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine School of Law—while eight months pregnant and working full time in Washington, D.C.—and holds a degree in neuropsychology from Westmont College. She later founded Beyond the Bruises, a nonprofit and holistic law firm dedicated to supporting abuse survivors and families navigating trauma through the legal system.
Her legal work, shaped by a deep understanding of the human psyche and a fierce commitment to justice, laid the foundation for her current mission: to transform not just individual lives, but the very systems that suppress them.
